The number of members of the first County Assembly was 52. As a result of the 1994 municipal elections, a 41-member body was formed. Between 1994 and 2010, the body had 41 members. Based on the legislative changes dating from October 2010, the county's representative body now counts 21 members. Since October 2014 Zoltán Németh has been the President of the General Assembly.
